Take time to find balance and stillness from your busy lives through the practice of Hatha Yoga. My class is in the beautifully crafted Penn Street Village Hall in the Chilterns on Tuesdays between 6.30-7.30pm and Fridays between 11.00 - 12.00 am, both during term time.
Yoga is a wonderful practice which can holistically benefit your overall health and well-being: mind and body! Maintaining balance is important in the physical body through alignment, strength and flexibility in asanas; however, yoga also helps balance and nourish the nervous system through the breath and movement of our subtle energy.
In addition to listening to our body through the stillness of asanas, gentle flow and movement is built in to increase mobility and circulation around the body; this can be likened to meditation with movement.
Hatha yoga practice will encourage you to be still and look inwardly allowing you to listen to what your body needs, perhaps often over-looked in our busy schedules. This practice is open to all levels - beginners to the more experienced.
After recently, studying an intense Yin Yoga course with a nationally recognised practitioner, some of the benefits of this practice are woven into my programmes and a qualification in Youth Yoga means that I have been able to teach secondary school students.
